Ridiculous Behavioral Science

A book that has been out there a while addressing USMLE Step 1 preparation is USMLE Behavioral Science Made Ridiculously Simple. It is offered as a paperback and pretty reasonably priced.

This book is just another way of presenting the same data that you will get from the other board review books. It is also out-of-date, having been published in 1998. The concepts addressed are valid, but the format is heavy on long paragraphs and for me took quite a while to read.

I prefer the books that present the data in more of an outline format, with lots of bullet point lists and lots of tables. That's why for now, I recommend First Aid for the USMLE Step 1 2014 (First Aid Series) as the foundation for studying behavioral sciences for the boards. Know all of the concepts in this book first. Then build upon these basic concepts with more study, e.g. USMLE World.

Good Luck! Study Hard!
